On October 28, the Hotel Indigo St. Petersburg-Tchaikovskogo and the St. Petersburg International Festival of Festivals film festival invited their partners and friends to a private film screening, as part of the Hotel Indigo Cinema Club.
The evening’s guests saw Joann Sfar’s exciting thriller «Lady in the Car With Glasses and a Gun» («La Dame dans l’auto avec des lunettes et un fusil”), which enjoyed its world premiere in France in August 2015.
Joann Sfar was born on August 28, 1971 in Nice, Alpes-Maritimes, France. He is a director and writer, whose most internationally acclaimed work is Gainsbourg: A Heroic Life (2010). «La Dame dans l’auto avec des lunettes et un fusil” is based on a detective story by the popular French writer Sebastien Japrisot.
The heroine is beautiful, short-sighted, sentimental, perplexing, obstinate, untrustworthy and most troubling of heroines. She has never seen the sea and is dreaming about it. On the run from the police, she keeps telling herself that she’s not crazy. The cast includes Freya Mavor and Benjamin Biolay.
The evening was attended by special guests, including curators from the St. Petersburg Museum for Theater and Music Art, who presented the museum’s new exhibitions and projects. The curators also held a lottery among the guests, where the prizes included tickets to the new exhibitions.
Hotel Indigo Cinema Club is a series of monthly closed screenings arranged by the hotel jointly with the International Festival of Festivals film festival, which we organize for your partners and friends.
The Hotel Indigo brand is closely associated with the arts and culture and we regularly support creative arts events. The Hotel Indigo Cinema Club marked its first anniversary in September. In September, 2014, we held our first screening, where we showed Pierre Salvadori’s film “In the Courtyard”, starring Catherine Deneuve.
The film-screening was presented by the popular St. Petersburg radio host Tatyana Troyanskaya.
