On March 30, 2016 the St. Anna Evangelist Lutheran church (8, Kirochnaya ulitsa) will host an extraordinary documenary theatrical production focusing on the lives of city’s homeless people. The show is titled «The Untouchable». Hotel Indigo St. Petersburg-Tchaikovskogo has become a sponsor of this project, and provided funding which will be used to produce sets for the show.
The production is based on real life stories told by a number of St.Petersburg’s homeless people, who themselves take part in the staging. The show will be directed by Mikhail Patlasov, a talented and aspiring stage director, who has already won the prestigious Golden Mask Award, Russia’s highest theater prize.
«The Untouchable» is a socially meaningful project as it helps to encourage social integration between the homeless people and the artists. One of the staging’s goals is to attract additional public attention to the problem of homelessness in the city.
«The Untouchable» is a non-commercial project: all members of the team are working on it free of charge. Crowdfunding is used to cover all costs and the fees paid to the homeless people who participate in the show.
