
The project SUMMER MUSIC PARK, open-air successfully launched last year in the Botanical Garden, will again be held in August in St. Petersburg. Now two weekend you can hear “A Tempo Orchestra” under the guidance of Anton Gakkel, as well as the performance of soloist-cellist Dmitry Ganenko and opera singers. Popular classics, Hollywood melodies and even rock hits in symphonic performance are waiting for the audience in the shadow of the Botanical Garden.
The project is expanding and this year is already divided into Friday, Saturday and Sunday programs, where different performers and repertoire, only the place remains unchanged.
“The Botanical Garden is a wonderful place, an oasis in the middle of the city, where in the cozy chamber atmosphere of the concert a magic of music is born for the listener. The Botanical Garden is already closed and there is no one else besides our listeners, it is possible to plunge calmly into the atmosphere of the concert and the twilight of the summer evening. In fact, this is the last open-air of the summer and the most romantic, “says SUMMER MUSIC PARK creator Dmitry Ganenko.
On Friday, August 17 and 24, Dmitry Ganenko will present his own musical team – it includes a cello, a violin, a drum kit and keys. They will perform the famous compositions Queen, Sting, Adele and the treatment of classical popular ones: Tango Piazzolla, Adagio Albioni, melodies from the Seasons of Vivaldi.
On August 18 and 25, on Saturday – Opera Opera Gala. In the program – popular opera arias and duets: Verdi, Donizetti, Puccini, Tchaikovsky performed by soloists of the Mariinsky Theater Alexander Trofimov and Oksana Shilova. And, of course, the best of the operetta and orchestral overtures performed by the ATempo Orchestra, in its composition musicians of the two orchestras of the Mariinsky Theater and the Philharmonic.
And on Sunday, August 19 and 26, Anton Gakkel with Dmitry Ganenko and the symphony orchestra ATempo Orchestra will play all favorite soundtracks from Hollywood movies. The famous “Moon River” by Henry Mancini, the music of Lloyd Webber, Alan Silvestri, Hans Zimmer to the movie “Gladiator”, and his co-author on many Hollywood hits of Klaus Badelt with the soundtrack to “Pirates of the Caribbean” and many others.
